I can hardly believe that nearly 3 months have passed since our little Annie was born. She is so healthy and strong you would never ever suspect that she had such difficulty coming into this world.
I am so thankful for my sweet Nathan and our four precious angel children. We are so blessed, and yet I take for granted so often the fact that we are together in this amazing family unit that Heavenly Father devised. It is too easily over looked that the family unit is what makes our return to him possible and the journey one filled with so much joy.
I just love the article in last months Ensign by Russell M. Nelson. I think it's called "The Sanctity of Life" The family really should be central in all we do. Whether it be as a church, or as a nation. There is little wonder why the family is being so threatened every moment of every hour. The greatest joy I feel comes from moments with my family. I should show great appreciation and loyalty to something that is so precious to me. I should never allow myself to yell or be impatient with them. I mean really...what does it matter that my two year old likes to make rainbows with food coloring or any other thing that leaves a mark. Or that my little 5 yr old with Autism is honest about how he feels with anyone, at any time. Or that my 6 yr old is a little sassy and likes to tell tall tales occasionally. If I can give love and teach them patiently...won't all be well? I believe somehow in time it will be alright.
Well forgive my very personal, raw blog.
